Frequently asked questions
Short answers for families booking a service and for providers listing one. If yours isn't here, write to support@bookingsarathi.com.
Booking a service
›How does a booking work?
You choose a service package and a date, and send a request. The provider replies with a quote (for pujas, after confirming the timing). You accept it, pay the provider directly, and the booking is confirmed. The day before, both of you get a reminder; for a puja it includes the list of items to prepare.
›Is the price on the site the final price?
Yes. The listed price already includes Booking Sarathi's service fee, so there is nothing added at checkout. A provider may add a travel fee for locations outside their usual area; it is shown before you send your request.
›How do I pay?
Directly to the provider, using the payment details and the booking reference shown on your booking page. Booking Sarathi never holds your money. The provider confirms receipt and the booking moves to paid.
›Can I cancel?
Yes. Each package shows its cancellation policy (flexible, moderate or strict) with the refund for each notice period before you book. Refunds are paid by the provider. If a date has to move because the lunar calendar shifted, rescheduling is always free.
›Who decides the date and time?
You pick from dates the provider has open, each shown with its Nepali calendar date. For a puja, the pandit checks the auspicious timing and confirms it himself. The site never confirms a timing automatically.
›How much notice do I need to give?
Each package states its minimum notice; most providers ask for at least 48 hours. Dates inside that window can't be selected.
›Can I message the provider before paying?
Yes, through the booking thread. Until payment, phone numbers and other contact details in messages are hidden to protect both sides; after payment they are shown.
›Which languages does the site support?
Everything is in Nepali and English, and you can switch at any time. Emails and reminders arrive in the language you chose.
Rashifal
›Who writes the daily rashifal?
A pandit chosen by Booking Sarathi writes it himself, every day, in Nepali (with English when available). Nothing is generated by software.
›Can I get it by email?
Yes. It is on by default when you create an account, and anyone can subscribe on the rashifal page. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
For providers
›Who can list a service?
Pandits can sign up today. Photographers and videographers, halls, decorators and caterers will open next. Every account is reviewed by the Booking Sarathi team before its listings go live.
›What does it cost to list?
Nothing to sign up. Booking Sarathi adds a service fee on top of the amount you set; the customer sees one total price. Your dashboard always shows exactly what you receive.
›How and when do I get paid?
Customers pay you directly at the time of booking, using the payment details you set up in your dashboard. There is no payout schedule because the money never passes through us.
›Do I need an authenticator app?
No. You sign in with your email and password. You can turn on two-step verification from your dashboard for extra protection.
›Can someone help me manage bookings?
Yes. You can add an assistant to your account who can answer requests and draft, but not change prices or confirm payments.
›Can my account be suspended or removed?
Booking Sarathi may suspend a provider for inaccurate listings, misconduct or repeated complaints; suspended listings are hidden but the account and history remain. Accounts with no bookings may be removed on request.
