Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of bookingsarathi.com and everything booked through it. By creating an account or making a booking you agree to them.
Last updated Friday, September 18, 2026 · This English text is the binding version. The Nepali page is a translation for convenience; where they differ, the English applies.
1. Who we are and what we do
Booking Sarathi ("we", "us"), operating from Texas, United States, runs bookingsarathi.com, a marketplace where independent pandits and other event-service providers ("providers") list their services and families ("customers") book them.
We are not a party to the agreement between a customer and a provider. Providers are independent businesses, not our employees, agents or partners. We do not perform, supervise or guarantee any service booked through the site.
2. Providers provide the service; we do not
The provider alone is responsible for the service: its quality, timeliness, safety, legality, religious correctness and completeness, and for any goods (such as samagri) they supply. Any dispute about a service is between the customer and the provider. We may help pass messages along, but we do not adjudicate, refund from our own funds or compel either side.
Information on a listing, including prices, inclusions, availability, qualifications and languages, is provided by the provider. We review providers before their listings go live but do not verify every statement, and we make no promise that a listing is accurate or that a provider holds any particular licence, certification or insurance.
3. Prices, fees and payment
- The price shown for a package is the total the customer pays for that package. It includes Booking Sarathi's service fee; nothing is added at checkout. Travel fees, where a provider charges them, are shown before a request is sent.
- Payment is made by the customer directly to the provider, using the payment details the provider has set up. We never hold, transfer or refund customer money and are not a payment processor. Receipts we issue record what the provider confirmed receiving.
- The provider confirms receipt of payment. Until then a booking is not confirmed and the provider is not obliged to hold the date.
- Providers receive the amount they set for the package; our fee is the difference between that amount and the listed price. Providers are responsible for their own taxes and for any reporting on income earned through the site.
4. Dates, muhurta and cancellations
- Dates shown are drawn from a pre-computed panchang and from the provider's stated availability. For rituals, the pandit confirms the muhurta personally. The site never confirms a muhurta automatically, and we are not responsible for the choice of date or time.
- Each package carries a cancellation policy chosen by the provider (flexible, moderate or strict) that states the refund for each notice period. That policy is part of your agreement with the provider, and any refund under it is paid by the provider.
- If a booked date must move because the tithi changed, either side may reschedule once without charge.
- Providers may cancel a booking; when they do, any amount the customer paid for that booking is to be refunded in full by the provider.
5. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 to create an account. Keep your password private and tell us at once if you believe your account has been used without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Providers may add assistants to their account. The provider is responsible for everything an assistant does.
- Messages between customers and providers pass through the site. Until a booking is paid, phone numbers, email addresses and messaging handles in messages are hidden from both sides. Attempting to move a booking off the site to avoid this or to avoid our fee is a breach of these terms.
6. Provider obligations
- Keep your listing accurate and your availability current, and honour bookings you have confirmed.
- Hold any licence, permit or insurance the law requires for what you offer, and comply with all laws that apply to your services and to your handling of customers' personal information.
- You grant us a non-exclusive licence to display the text, prices, photographs and other content you upload, on the site and in emails and shareable images the site produces, for as long as your listing is live and in records afterwards.
- A provider granted the Rashifal tool is the author of what they publish through it and is responsible for its content.
- We may decline, suspend or remove a provider at our discretion, including for inaccurate listings, misconduct or complaints. Suspension hides listings but preserves bookings and history.
7. Content and reviews
Customers may leave a review after a completed booking. Reviews must be honest and about the service received. We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, off-topic or misleading, and we may keep a record of removed content.
The rashifal published on the site is written by a pandit and is offered as tradition and guidance, not as a prediction or as professional advice of any kind.
8. Disclaimers
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and any warranty about the providers, their services or the accuracy of listings, dates or panchang information.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Booking Sarathi and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, opportunity, data or goodwill, arising from the site, a provider's service, a booking or these terms, even if we were told such damage was possible.
Our total liability to you for anything arising from the site or these terms is limited to the service fee we received on the booking concerned or, if there is none, to one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places our liability is limited to the extent the law permits.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Booking Sarathi and the people who run it from claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the site, your breach of these terms, or, for providers, the services you provide and the content you publish.
11. Changes and ending your account
- We may change these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and for material changes we will email account holders. Using the site after the change means you accept it.
- You may close your account at any time by writing to us. Bookings already confirmed remain binding between customer and provider.
- We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe put others at risk.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by talking to us first is brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where the law of your place of residence gives you a right you cannot waive.
