Tithi: Falgun Shukla Ekadashi. Households (Smarta) keep the day Ekadashi stands at sunrise in Nepal, and Vaishnavas the last day it stands at dawn. Where the two differ, Nepal's patro gives both days.

Amalaki Ekadashi is the eleventh day of the bright fortnight of Falgun, a few days before Fagu Purnima. The amala tree is held to be dear to Lord Vishnu and is worshipped on this day.
How families keep it
Those who keep the fast eat no grain. Lord Vishnu is worshipped under an amala tree where there is one, and the fast is broken the next morning, on Dwadashi.

Each date is the day Nepal keeps the festival. Nepal publishes its patro one year at a time, so a date further ahead can move by a day when that year's patro comes out. For a ceremony, Pandit Ji confirms the day and the muhurta.
