What Pitri Bisarjan Aunsi is

Pitri Bisarjan Aunsi is the new-moon day of Ashwin Krishna paksha and the last day of Sorha Sraddha. A family that does not know the tithi of a parent's passing, or could not hold the sraddha on its day, offers it today. The ancestors who came for the fortnight are bid farewell.

How families keep it

Families offer sraddha or tarpan with a pandit, feed him and give in the ancestors' names. Dashain begins the next day.
