What Maha Navami is

Maha Navami is Ashwin Shukla Navami, the last of the nine nights of Durga. She is worshipped as Siddhidatri, the giver of success. Tools, vehicles and machines are worshipped too, so that they serve safely through the year. In Kathmandu the Taleju temple opens to the public on this one day of the year.

How families keep it

Families complete the Navaratri puja and the Chandi path, worship their vehicles and tools and prepare for the tika of the next day.
